The reinforcement strips are composed of layers of knitted fiber glass fabric coated with a urethane resin that hardens when exposed to water. The pre cut splints are composed of layers of coated fiber glass enclosed within a polypropylene nonwoven padding. The complete splint is then sealed in a moisture/air proof foil pouch.

Use: A length of splint or reinforcement strip is removed from the foil and cut to the required length. Water is applied to the splint or reinforcement strip. Then water is removed by squeezing the splint or strip enclosed in a towel. The splint or strip is then shaped and applied to the patient.

Labeling:
Each splint or strip shall have a manufactured date of the type MMDDYY affixed to the foil pouch.
Packaging:
Pre-cut splints and/or reinforcing strips are packaged by size at ten per box.
Storage:
The splints should be stored in a cool dry location.
Recommended storage temperature: 65F- 75F/ 18C- 24C
